 People - of all ages!

Young People

Children and young people are a vital part of the life and future of our communities in our Group of Parishes. We warmly welcome children, young people and families to our churches and services. Most of our services are family-friendly and and activities for children can be arranged as needed.  Explorers puzzles are available for children during services or if just visiting.

Prayer is an essential part of our support and love for young people after christenings. Find out about prayer for young people here. These are some easy ways to begin to pray:

  • Hold or look at a photo of the child you’re praying for and ask God to bless them today
  • Light a candle, and as you watch it burn, ask God to bless your child and help them be a light for others as they grow up.
  • Imagine Jesus at your side and talk to him as if talking to your closest friend. Tell him everything that’s on your mind about your child, your family, worries, things you’re thankful for, how you can support them. Ask for his help and guidance.
  • Try justpray.uk for more prayer help and inspiration, or to post prayers online.

....and those with the Gift of Years

There is much to give thanks for in older age. But that is not to say we don't recognise the real fears there are around ageing. If we could be persuaded to see life as more of a gift, and less of a life sentence, we might be better placed to embrace whatever comes our way. Growing older involves change but this doesn't have to be fraught with anxiety. We aim to respond to the challenges faced by our older population, finding ways in which our later years can be more spiritually fertile ones, and infinitely more fulfilling.

We hold two monthly lunch clubs at Cranworth and Garvestone, where people are warmly invited to meet and eat and enjoy one anothers' company.

We are happy to help with transport for people who cannot easily get to church on Sundays, and also hold regular home communions

If you would like a visit, even just for a chat if you want some company, please get in touch by contacting us at The Rectory. All our staff are trained in safeguarding for adults and chil
